Western Region Sales Manager

Due to our North American growth we are now looking for A Western Regional Sales manager to be located within the territory west of the Mississippi River, excluding Canada and the States of Oregon and Washington.
Your main task will be the sales of Boschung road weather information stations (RWIS) and fixed automated spray technology (FAST) to public and private agencies that are responsible for maintaining the safety and availability of traveling surfaces in your territory.
You will work in close co-operation with our sales and technical experts.
Your responsibility is to generate sales revenue and to achieve sales targets in the assigned region as well as to follow up sales leads to identify customer needs, You will create sales proposals and quotations and develop and implement account plans for assigned customer accounts, Additionally you will meet with customers to promote Boschung’s product lines, provide customer feedback and help define future product needs.
Job Experience and Qualifications:
A minimum 5 years related technical sales and marketing experience with State departments of transportation.
Strong experience in the bid process selling to public agencies
Understanding of public agency supply chain and planning process
B.S degree in business, science, engineering or technical related discipline
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good negotiation skills
Commercially astute
Weather related application knowledge of public agencies is a plus.
Department of Defense (DoD) experience is a plus.
Project oriented sales a plus
Up to 75% travel within territory is required
Proficiency with MS office suite
