Boschung  is currently implementing the largest Maintenance Decision Support System (MDSS) project in the world.

Using Boschung’s standard hardware and software for RWIS data,vehicle position, spreader and plow information, and mobile road condition data this data,  combined with local weather forecast, will be utilized to produce pro-active treatment recommendations prior to experiencing a winter weather event.  The scope of the project, located in Austria, gathers data from over 700 RWIS by multiple vendors, over 1,200 maintenance vehicles and provides 1,500 miles of segmented, forecasted roadway. The project is expected to be partially on line by winter of 2007-2008.
